TAGER: Ragna the Bloodedge, I have orders to restrain you. I'd prefer it if you came quietly. If you don't resist, I won't have to hurt you. RAGNA: You didn't hear a word I said, did you? TAGER: You've got the Azure Grimoire with you. You must have known you'd show up on our EADAP. TAGER: I do hope you're not mistaking Sector Seven for that supbar Librarium. RAGNA: [sigh] So, what're you gonna do, Mr. Red Devil? TAGER: So you know of me, then? I suppose I can dispense with the formalities. I'd hoped I wouldn't have to force you, but you've given me no choice.
[RAGNA vs TAGER, RAGNA wins]
TAGER: Guh... I should've expected this... from the man who carries the Azure Grimoire. A fatal... miscalculation... RAGNA: Goddammit. That was like hitting a rock. The hell are you made of? Ugh, I'm not gonna waste any more time on you, asshole.
stage #8: Cathedral RAGNA: [enters the stage with CARNAGE SCISSORS, blocked by Jin] JIN: Come on, is that any way to greet someone? Hahaha, looks like you're as reckless as ever. JIN: You haven't changed at all, although I have to admit I'm a little relieved. RAGNA: What the hell are you doing here!? No, never mind that. I've got a whole other bunch of questions that you need to answer. RAGNA: Make it easy on yourself and just stand there while I cut you up! JIN: Whoa... you're asking for quite a bit. JIN: I have to say though... there's enough money on your head to buy a small country. A whole lot of people are looking for "Ragna the Bloodedge". RAGNA: That's got nothin' to do with you! JIN: Aaah, but don't worry. I won't let anyone else touch you... You're all mine. RAGNA: You son of a bitch! JIN: Ahaha! Yes, that's it... I'd almost forgotten this feeling... To think that we'd meet like this again... that I'd have the chance to "kill" you again. JIN: Hehehe... Enough nostalgia... Let's kill each other... Ragna!
[RAGNA vs JIN, RAGNA wins]
JIN: Hurgh... gah... RAGNA: I'm not gonna finish you off this time, asshole. I still got lotta questions, and I think you've got the answers. RAGNA: But, I got bigger fish to fry than you right now, so how 'bout we continue this chat later?
stage #9: the Gate HAKUMEN: At last, fiend. You finally show yourself. RAGNA: At last? The hell are you talking about? Who are you? HAKUMEN: I'm not talking to you. RAGNA: Then who the hell are you talking to? Yourself? RAGNA: Whatever. I don't have time for you or your shit. Now get outta my way or I'm gonna rip that stupid mask off and make you eat it. HAKUMEN: Then why don't you draw your sword? RAGNA: Shut up. HAKUMEN: Aaahh, yes, now that is fear, Ragna the Bloodedge. The creature that sleeps within you... it can sense my power, and it is afraid. RAGNA: What did you say!? HAKUMEN It is the center of darkness and the source of all evil. Your very existence is the world's worst nightmare. HAKUMEN: Only your death can put an end to this nightmare. It is time for the eternal wanderer to meet his demise. [draws his sword] RAGNA: Hah! So now I'm a nightmare? I'm gettin' tired of listening to your nonsense. Why don't you drop the hero crap, so we can get this over with? HAKUMEN: I am the white void. I am the cold steel. I am the just sword. With blade in hand shall I rip the sins of this world, and cleanse it in fires of destruction. HAKUMEN: I am Hakumen. The end has come!
[RAGNA vs HAKUMEN, no result]
HAKUMEN: Gah! How dare you interrupt me, Grimalkin! [disappears] RAGNA: I thought he was just some freak that wouldn't shut up... but he was pretty tough... Damn it... what the hell is he...?
[the Cauldron opens]
stage #10: the Gate RAGNA: Tch. You gotta be kidding me... I guess I was too late. ν-No.13-: [lands before him] Loading... loading... loading... loading... Complete. Ahh! It's Ragna! I haven't seen you in sooooo long! What is this... the fourth time? RAGNA: Third. ν-No.13-: Awwww... looks like somebody's in a bad mood. ν-No.13-: Are you mad 'cause we couldn't talk the last few times? I've got a body that can talk now, see? ν-No.13-: You... you remember how you hurt me before? It really hurt a lot. I bled a whole bunch. Really! But, you know... RAGNA: Shut up. ν-No.13-: Ah! Ragna, you're injured! Why don't you heal yourself? Are you OK? Who did that to you? RAGNA: Shut up! That face! That voice! Don't you dare talk to me! ... I'm here to destroy you. Understand? ν-No.13-: Whaa! Ragna! Don't do that! That's so mean! ν-No.13-: I finally... I finally have a body. We can finally be together, but you... you... You're so mean... RAGNA: It's too late for me to ask for your forgiveness. ν-No.13-: [enters battle mode] ... Don't wanna talk, hmm? Perhaps you'll open up after something a bit more... physical?
[RAGNA vs ν-No.13-, RAGNA loses]
RAGNA: Dammit! Why...!? ν-No.13-: It's impossible, you know. No one can change what happened. This is destiny! You and I are supposed to be together. ν-No.13-: It's a story that cannot be rewritten. RAGNA: The hell are you talking about!? RAGNA: I don't need anyone telling me what to do! RAGNA: [gets hit by Nu's Sword Summoner] Guhah! ν-No.13-: ... And we fall into each other's arms... ν-No.13-: Oh, this is so romantic. RAGNA: Let go of me... you bastard...! [both Ragna and Nu are impaled on a giant sword] RAGNA: Guagh! ν-No.13-: Your life and my life are the same. ν-No.13-: If I'm still alive, you definitely won't die. ν-No.13-: The same goes for me too. ν-No.13-: You can't fight your feelings, Ragna. ν-No.13-: We're going to be together... forever and always. RAGNA: Stop... it... I'm... not... ν-No.13-: Alright, let's go destroy everything now. ν-No.13-: Destroy this whole terrible, awful excuse for a world. ν-No.13-: OK? Ragna?
I love this game, I really do, but if you expect me to write down 30+ hours of a visual novel, you're underestimating my laziness. Especially when someone has already done that for me, bless their soul.
♦ An old nun called Sister lives alone in a small church in the middle of nowhere. One day, Jubei brings three children he freed from a hidden laboratory there, leaving them in Sister's care. The three kids are siblings: Ragna, Jin and Saya.
Chapter 1: Stratum city — Hierarchical City

♦ In the 9th Hierarchical City of Akitsu, the Novus Orbis Librarium branch is under attack. Ragna the Bloodedge kills everyone in it, eventually reaching the Cauldron that lies beneath it and destroying the Gate. ♦ Rachel appears in front of Ragna, prompting him to head towards the 13th Hierarchical City of Kagutsuchi next.

♦ Ragna reaches the 13th Hierarchical City of Kagutsuchi and encounters Taokaka in the lower levels called Orient Town. ♦ Ragna agrees to feed Tao, but is unable to pay for all the food she eats, so they end up running away without paying the bill.

♦ Tsubaki Yayoi and Hazama arrive at Kagutsuchi Port with the mission to bring back Major Jin Kisaragi who has gone AWOL. They discuss the matter, as well as the possible presence of "the Grim Reaper" Ragna the Bloodedge, as well as the NOL issuing level D alert in the 13th City. Then they split in search of both Ragna and Jin.

♦ Flashback to when Tsubaki was appointed as Jin's secretary. ♦ Tsubaki continues her search for Ragna and Jin and accidentaly stumbles upon the Red Devil of Sector Seven, Tager. They engage in battle and Tager knocks Tsubaki out.

♦ In an attempt to bring find a way to upper levels of Kagutsuchi, Tao leads Ragna into the sewers where they encounter Arakune.
Chapter 2: Spiral fate — The Board's Pieces

♦ In the garden of her castle, Rachel is having tea. Valkenhayn informs her of Ragna's arrival at Kagutsuchi. ♦ Their discussion is interrupted by the appearance of Terumi, who mocks them before leaving to make "preparations". ♦ Likewise, Rachel, Nago and Gii leave for Kagutsuchi.

♦ In Ronin-Gai, Bang meets a young NOL soldier with short, golden hair, green eyes and ice-cold aura around him. The man asks him whether he's seen a man with white hair and red coat around, but receiving a negative response, he leaves without stating his name.

♦ Tager brings unconscious Tsubaki to Litchi's clinic in Orient Town. ♦ Litchi and Kokonoe argue about the possibility of rescuing "that person". ♦ Linhua arrives and makes arrangements for Tsubaki on Litchi's request. Meanwhile, the doctor and Tager say their goodbyes.

♦ Hazama arrives at Kagutsuchi's NOL branch and contacts Relius Clover; afterwards, he begins preparations of Terumi's return.
Chapter 3: Grim Reaper — The Man Called Death God

♦ In the sewers, Ragna and Tao defeat Arakune. Tao wants to spare Arakune, but Ragna finishes him off. ♦ They split up and Tao heads for the Kaka village. ♦ Arakune's last words─ "Azure"─ linger on Ragna's mind as he's looking for a place to rest.

♦ Tsubaki wakes up in the Orient Town clinic, meeting Tao, Bang, Linhua and Litchi. ♦ Tsubaki asks Bang about the details of his meeting with a golden-haired, green-eyed soldier of the Librarium. She confirms it was indeed Jin, and that he's looking for the Grim Reaper, Ragna the Bloodedge. ♦ Despite Litchi's protests, Tsubaki wants to leave the clinic immediately. She eventually agrees when she hears Tsubaki is searching for a person important to her.

♦ As she heads torwards the higher levels of Kagutsuchi, Tsubaki thinks back to when she presented the report on the Grim Reaper's attack on the NOL branch in the 9th Hierarchical City of Akitsu to Jin. Upon hearing the Grim Reaper's name is "Ragna the Bloodedge", Jin started laughing maniacally before he ordered his secretary to leave. Tsubaki did so, but caught him saying something about his "brother", though she had no idea whom he was referring to.
